Easy Homemade Pizza.. YUM!

Doesn't that look yummy??

Okay so Michael's favorite food is pizza. He can eat it morning, noon and night!
And he asked me if it was possible for me to make him one(since it was way to late to order one!)
Of course whatever Mikey wants Mikey gets! ha ha

This is the easiest way to make pizza without any muss or fuss! It's a non-yeast pizza and takes no time to make. Give it a try!

--------------------------------------------------------
Recipe:
Ingredients
* 2 cups flour
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2/3 cup milk
* 1/4 cup salad oil
* 2 tablespoons salad oil
(Or if you use self rising flour.. use it and omit the Salt and Baking powder)

Directions
1. Heat oven to 425°F.

2.Measure ingredients (except 2nd amount of salad oil) into a bowl.

3.Stir vigorously until mixture leaves the side of the bowl. If it's too sticky add small amounts of flour until it's dough like.

4. Gather dough together and press into a ball.

5.Knead dough in bowl 10 times to make smooth then divide dough in half.

6.On lightly floured surface roll each half into a whatever shaped pizza you want.

7.Place on pizza pan.

8.Turn up edges 1/2 inch and pinch.

9.Brush pizzas with remaining 2T of salad oil(I've also used garlic butter and regular butter instead and works just the same even better!)

10.Add toppings and bake for 20-25 minutes or until it looks done.

--------------------------------------------------------

Easy eh? Mike absolutely loves it! I've made this now at least a dozen times!
Give it a try! You can add any type of toppings that you like! If you are adding veggies like onions, green peppers etc I suggest either precooking them in the microwave or frying pan first, unless you like your veggies more raw on the pizza! You can use pizza sauce, Alfredo sauce, BBQ sauce or even your favorite pasta sauce. Next time I'm using taco sauce and taco seasoned meat, Sharp cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and black olives(on Mike's half only cause yuck olives make me gag!! lol)!

Storms and the fun they cause!

Well, today started off as any other day usually does. Michael left for work, Sam was making dinner, Steve was reading the paper and I was busy doing some cleaning and making a home made pizza which I will blog about later :)
When all the sudden the dreaded red screen flashed on the TV saying weather storm warnings!! We normally don't pay them much mind cause they usually fly right past us cause of the surrounding mountains. But this time it hit us! And we were the only one in the whole neighborhood to get hit like this!

This used to a very tall pine tree at the top of the hill on our front lawn. It came tumbling down in a matter of minutes once the storm hit!

It was pulled out of the ground roots and all! That root bulb is about 5 feet high so you can imagine how big that tree is!!

This is the view of the tree from the front porch.

The second tree that fell!!
This was in the driveway. Narrowly missing Sam's car but landing nicely on the front of Steve's Explorer! Only damage was a small dent.

The same tree from the other side. This is gonna be a mess to clean up! lol

This is normally a small dry creek bed. In just the short time it rained, maybe all of 20 minutes, it was completely overfilled.

Sam, Ted and Steve checking out the damage to Steve's car.

The storm lasted all of about 20-30 minutes and when it was over it gave us this beautiful double rainbow. The rainbow was totally gone in a matter of minutes. So, there was no hope finding that pot of gold at the end :)

Not even 10 minutes after the rainbows disappeared the clouds started to disappear too! The rest of the evening was just like any other evening. Warm and clear.
Now tomorrow the real fun starts... the cleanup!!
