On Saturday March 28th I threw my Sister in Law, Charlsie, a baby shower! We hosted it at my Mother in Laws house. Here is a bunch of pictures Kim took. I was too busy being a good host to take pictures of my own.

Kim and I did the decorations. We hung streamers, balloons and I made a banner that said "Congrats Charlsie and Casey!"
We were expecting about 20 people. Instead there was more like 30. Which was great for her, TONS of gifts! lol

I've never made a Diaper Cake before. But figured since I'm so talented when it comes to crafts that I would give it a shot! It didn't turn out too bad!

Linda figured I was SO busy with doing everything else that she would order a cake instead of making one. And I was so happy! That cake was so delicious that there wasn't any left!

This is only a small portion of the gifts she got. I swear it took her like 2 hours to open all of them!! lol

The Mommy to be!! Doesn't she look adorable?? That is gonna be one big baby! She still has over 2 more weeks to go!!

Charlie opening her first gift! It was from cousin Kristopher and his girlfriend, Paige.

A basket full of goodies from friends in KY that couldn't be there!
And also I LOVE this picture cause of Paige(the one on the left in red) and Brittany(next to her) look so enthused to be there! ha ha I love random shots!

More gifts! You can also see my Mother in law holding Hunter in the background. Just judging by the way she spoils her grand-nephew we can tell that Addison will be spoiled rotten to the core!! lol

I love this blanket that Charlie's Mother, Nola, made! I told her I want one for myself since I used to collect Care Bears as a child. I still have about 15-20 Care Bears in a box from the 80's! :D

Just by pure luck and chance Sammy found this Addison sign at TJ Maxx. There was only 2 names there, Addison and Olivia. What are the chances of that happening??
I love the look on her face!! ha ha
And yes that ugly looking thing on the left hand side with the Toronto Maple Leafs shirt on is me. Wish I could remember what we were saying to each other!! lol

Best deal of the day! This super cute stroller was only $20. Michael's Aunt Clarencine works at Kmart and when this stroller, which was a display model, came off the shelf to be replaced with a new model it was marked down. Add in her employee discount and it was only $20.

Hunter was giving Addison's playpen a try out to make sure it was okay for her to use! ;)
HunHun absolutely loved the balloons! Later on I will see if I can post a video of him crawling around on the floor trying to get at the balloons.

The BEST shower game EVER. Not sure if anyone has ever done this or if it was solely my idea. But this game is just like pin the tail on the donkey except it's "Pin The Baby On The Mommy!" Just like the name says you use a cutout of a baby instead of a tail and a picture of the pregnant Mommy-to-be instead of the donkey.
Here's Aunt Donna playing.

Here's Cousin Jessica giving it a try!

The when it came to my Mother-in-laws turn she decided she wanted to place the baby on Charlie's real belly! Seeing she was heading for her she darted out of her chair only to have Linda's sister, Donna, try to pretend she was Charlie. Linda figured it wasn't Charlie and Charlie decided ......

....to make her the 'butt' of the joke ha ha. Totally priceless!

Nanny thought trying to pop a balloon with her butt would be funny, And she was right! The first time she bounced on it and almost flew straight across the room! On the second try she popped it no problem! God, she is the cutest thing! No wonders I love her so much!

And finally the last picture. My dear sweet Mother-in-law. ha ha ha. What a fool! When she did this Brittany said to me.."she could come in 1st and 3rd in a wet T-shirt contest" (cause one is smaller then the other) I busted out laughing so bad!

All in all it went perfectly! It was the first baby shower I have ever thrown and everyone was raving on how well I did. So, I was very happy! Now we have to wait only a few more weeks when Miss Addison will be welcomed into this crazy family!

Family Tree - Scrapbook software find!

I was talking to Natalie tonight and mentioned that I found this pretty awesome (and free) scrapbooking software and told her I would blog and show the one I had tried out so far.
This was made using "Scrapbook Flair" a free program to make scrapbook pages of many types.
It is so easy to use that this only took me about 5 minutes(if that) to make. Once you get the hang of cropping the pictures so what you want to see in the spaces fits it's easy as punch! When you add an image to the spot it even trims the image to the circular shapes for you and fits them in!! Easy peasy!
I made this Family Tree for my Mommy. She hasn't seen it yet. But I know she will absolutely love it! I will be emailing it to her later on.
So, if you are into scrapbooking and are looking for an easy program I suggest this one! :D

Sunday, a day for rest and races

On Sunday my Mom, Allan and Chelle went to Bristol, TN to watch the NASCAR race. So, me and Michael got to have the kids all day to our selves! I didn't take many pictures since I had gotten laryngitis and was feeling pretty crappy. So, I will finish my family visit's blogs with some random pictures.

Sisters! Come on don't I have the sweetest nieces??

Mallorie showing me how good she can jump rope. She is really good and likes to show EVERYONE. lol

Elliott being a ham. This was right before he pulled my shirt over my head and bit my nose! OUCH! It still hurts! lol

Can't remember which day it was. But one day we stopped in at the NASCAR Speedpark. Didn't take many pictures since I was stuck on the phone for a bit making plans for the baby shower. But here is Miss Mallorie posing with a race car.

Saved the best for last! My Mom is too short to ride on this ride! We busted out laughing. The girl's kept telling her "Nana, you are short!" ha ha

Had a wonderful time with them all. It was sad to see them go back home to Canada, as usual. But they are back home safe and sound. I won't see them again until August. I will be counting down the days!

The Knoxville Zoo!

On Saturday we went to the Knoxville Zoo! The Gorilla's tried to keep Allan but the kids wouldn't let them! ha ha

On the way to the zoo. The girls were singing two songs over and over. One being Alvin and the Chipmunks "Christmas song". The other was "I kissed a girl" by Katy Perry.

This kid is obviously in love with any camera! lol

Allan, Allison and Mallorie in front of the waterfall at the front of the Zoo.

Mallorie watching the Elephant eating.

Family pic with Allan's long lost son in the backgrou.. oh wait that's a Zebra. Oops :D
Nice picture though :)

Miss Allison all smiles in the sun.

Mallorie taking a ride on the "Magical Lion" as she put it.

Michelle and her new best friend! This Chimp was so cute! Couldn't tell if he was happy, tired, cold or sad though.

Mallorie was the only one brave enough to sit next to him. Allison said it was too scary!

Another family pic.

They have a new part in the park called "Kid's Cove" that opened last year or maybe the year before that. It has a HUGE sandbox, huge kids club house with slides and stuff, petting zoo, Aviary, night pets exhibit, and a Merry-go-round called "Fuzzy-go-round".
The kids LOVED it! Well worth it. Doesn't cost anything extra except the Merry-go-round. And I think it was like $2 a ride.

Hard to take a good pic with the thing going round and round. Elliott wouldn't get on an animal and made Chelle sit with him in the Chariot lol

Random shot of my Mommy saying "What are you doing??" lol

Allison says the Giraffe's are her favorites! So, she made me take a bunch of pictures of them! But then they all ran to the other side of the pen. I guess it was feeding time.

On the way out we ran into this big beaver guy. Even with Allan and the beaver acting goofy the kids were still to scared to go near him. It was so funny! So, no picture with him and the kids, just him and the big kid. lol
We had a blast! The kids are already planning on what they want to see there again next time!

Park day!

On Friday we decided to have a free day. Which meant playing at the park and hanging at my house playing with their toys and getting caught up on all the things they have done at school and such.

I bought the kids all kites. But they weren't interested in them. They just wanted to play on the huge playground they have at Cherokee park. But Allan being the biggest kid around he wanted to fly those kites! He actually got it pretty high. That's him at the bottom of the picture and his kite is way up in the air.

All kids love swings! I'm glad at least that one thing has not changed over the years! Both were shouting "Daddy HIGHER! HIGHER!"

Ha ha this picture just turned out funny! His legs look like they are a mile long! But you can tell he is having a blast!

Aww how sweet! We actually got them to stop playing for all of 4 minutes to take this shot of them all.

They couldn't believe it was nice enough to be wearing shorts already! Especially since back home it snowed almost the whole time they were here! typical Allan picture with his mouth wide open! ha ha

Once I figure out which videos are which I will post a few of the fun at the park!

Picnic in the Mountains!

Even though the grass and everything still hasn't turned green it was still perfect weather for a picnic in the Smokey Mountains! We drove about 10-15 miles up the Mountain to reach the big picnic areas.

For Lunch we had Kool-aid, Sandwiches, Banana's and apple dippers. A quick cheap lunch! lol

Elliott was asleep in his stroller and missed our visitors..

Canadian Geese! They came to see why these other strange Canadian's were doing in the south!
They came right up to us. Mallorie and myself fed them our crusts from our sandwiches.

What a bunch of fools! I believe they were singing a song or something.
Had to finish lunch and leave cause out of no where the clouds turned gray and rain was on the way!

Krispy Kreme!

On the way back from the Aquarium we stopped by Krispy Kreme to get some yummy doughnuts!! I'm a sucker for a fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut!.
When we were there the lady behind the counter gave the kids these cute hats!

I swear she looks more and more like my Mom every day!

I keep getting lucky with the cutest shots of Elliott!

Allison is the biggest ham! Her personality is closer to mine and my Dad's I believe.

Elliott says the doughnuts are yummy! Can ya tell??
