Misfits Fiend
Don't really have much to blog about lately. Been real boring around here. Michael working as usual and I've just been at home trying to get this place cleaned out and ready to "Halloween-ize" this place. Halloween is Michael's favorite holiday. So, we spend just as much time and money decorating our place as we do for Christmas. Michael is stuck working this weekend(again) but next weekend we are planning a nice trip to Knoxville to hit up all the Halloween stores to get some new stuff. Also we will be spending quite a bit of time making homemade decorations. I found this awesome website that has over 800 do it yourself Halloween props and decorations. Which should keep us busy in the coming weeks!
This will be the second year that Michael won't be working at the Haunted house in Kentucky, which was one of his favorite things to do when we lived up there. But we will be having a huge party with lots of gross foods, lots of booze, lots of friends and some small prizes for best costumes and stuff. It really should be a lot of fun!
The picture above is the Misfits Fiend, the kind of mascot for the band "Misfits" I painted it on the Music Room wall for Michael. It is one of my favorite things I've painted. Misfits is Michael's absolute favorite band. So, it was a labor of love to paint it for him!

Our Tama Drum Set.
This is our Tama SwingStar drum set, our crowning piece in the Music Room. We've been slowly adding to it when we can afford it. It has Roto Toms, Ziljian symbols, and Wuhan crashes. You gotta love the special touches with the skull sitting between the Toms. I wish I had better pictures of all the guitars, basses and amps. But they are scattered all over the place and I was to lazy to set them all up and take a nice picture of. Maybe I will post them in a later blog.
Michael's back is all better now!(YAY!!) He has a bit of stiffness but that is mainly due to the change in weather and his injuries from the accident. But the change in weather is awful on me too. New season brings on new alergies. Back home in Canada I never had alergies like I do down here. Some days I will literally be laying down all day long with an ice pack on my face to try and relieve some of the pressure from my sinuses, which I totally hate! I hope someday my body will get used to the differences down here!!
Okay I've again rambled on more then I thought I would. So, now it's time for me to finish this and try to get some sleep!
Hope all is well with everyone!! :D
